Governance

The Company is led by its Master, Wardens and Court of Assistants.  The Master and Wardens are elected by the Court for a period of one year and Assistants by the Court from the Liverymen of the Company.

The Master chairs Court Meetings and sits on all main committees, represents the Company and acts as the principal host at Company functions.

The Court has fourteen seats and comprises the Master, seven Assistants, who have yet to pass the Chair, and six who have.  Accordingly Past Masters retire from the Court after six years but are normally elected to continue to act as Honorary Assistants without voting rights, to retain the benefit of their expertise and experience.
