The Fletcher’s Disability Championship 2019

The Fletcher's Disability Championship took place over the weekend of the 14th and 15th September – a glorious hot few days ideal for a break. The Championship is part of the Target Tokyo package – an event sponsored by the Fletchers each year and which takes place at AGB’s Headquarters in Lilleshall. Over the weekend Paralympians shot against other disabled archers, VI archers competed and the event , which counts towards para selection, culminates in the finals on Sunday. The winner of the Championship trophy this year was Dai Davies who will collect the Trophy at our lunch on the 7th October.

On Sunday afternoon the highlight of the weekend took place (or at least some believe) the annual shoot of teams comprising one Fletcher and one elite archer. Our captain David Goodall was again in the victorious team and has promised to buy drinks for all the Fletchers who attended!

A great weekend; thanks to all who attended and shot and to all at AGB for their organisation and generosity.
