Past Master Anne Curry was honoured to be present at the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla on 6 May 2023 as Arundel Herald Extraordinary, a role to which she was appointed in May 2022. Anne's title goes back to 1727 and the coronation of George II, the event for which Handel composed the famous anthem 'Zadok the Priest'.

 

All of the English pursuivants, heralds and Kings of Arms were present in their distinctive tabards, and were joined by their Scottish counterparts, all forming part of the king's procession into Westminster Abbey. After the service, there was opportunity for a group photograph in Westminster Hall.
