United Guilds Service 2026

The United Guilds Service was held on 20 March 2026 at St Paul’s Cathedral. This impressive occasion, attended by the Lord Mayor, is one of the rare opportunities for members of all livery companies and guilds to gather together. Although it is now the largest service of its kind in the year, it dates only from 1943, when it was introduced as a coordinated response to the difficulties faced by the City of London in the aftermath of the Blitz, while also reaffirming the religious foundations of the Guilds.

The service was followed by a most enjoyable lunch at Farmers and Fletchers’ Hall, where those present included the Master Gunmaker, Nicole Brocklebank-Fowler.
