The Noble Art of Sabrage – This Tuesday, a merry band of Fletchers assembled to launch the Christmas festivities in the only sensible way: by learning the elegant skill of sabering a bottle of champagne. A brilliant time was had by all, especially the brave souls who discovered that yes, you can feel both elegant and mildly terrified while wielding a blade near fizzy alcohol.
The only drawback? Every successfully “sabraged” bottle absolutely had to be drunk — a terrible burden heroically shouldered by the group. Thankfully, the canapés did their best to soak up the tidal wave of champagne!
